Software for Test Instruments

This page details some examples of our work in developing software for instruments which provide testing capabilities. We work in many end user markets developing PC and Mobile computer packages as well as providing the expertise to develop the embedded code.

Water quality monitoring

Process Instruments now have a sophisticated method of alerting users to alarms on their remote water monitoring equipment thanks to Aitken Scientific. With Bluetooth communications to a mobile phone, messages can be sent and received via GSM.

Soil analysis

Cybersense supply a clever soil testing system with software by Aitken Scientific. Designed to work on site, where the soil is to be tested, the package walks the user through the critical steps to prepare the samples, load them into the reader and collect and analyse the results.

Mobile and embedded development

We do not just develop code for PCs, but are equally capable working with embedded code and mobile computing. We pride ourselves on the ease of use of the applications we develop. The example mobile screen shows an example application designed to measure the profile of objects using a laser theodolite.
